I wish to highlight some pointers regarding the batteries issues so that you could explain to your customers:
Although most manufacturers claimed that most of the mobile phones has standby time up to 72 hours or more, there are many factors which could affect the battery life of the mobile phones:
The normal battery talk time for most mobile phones range from 5 – 8 hours which require recharging after such usage:
1. If the network signal is not strong enough in the particular area, it will consume more battery as the mobile will auto switch on to look for the network signal under such circumstances.
2. If the mobile phone has mp3 / blue tooth / GPRS function, it will consume more battery when you switch on these functions.
3. If the user is using the mobile phone to download program, file or pic from the computer, it will also consume more battery.
All in all, if the users are using all the functions the mobile phones that is available, the battery talk time will be consumed fairly quickly. Therefore, it is considered normal if your customer mentioned that his battery will only last for 5 hours. I am also using a v3 and I need to recharge the battery everyday though I did not download any music or connect to Bluetooth.
How do you know that the battery is not working? If the battery has been fully charged and it could not last up to 1 hour, then we would think this battery is at fault. You can then proceed to send back to us for repair/replacement.
